Joe Iaquinto started playing bass and guitar in his hometown of Brooklyn, New York, in the '70s (when bass was the coolest instrument on the planet). While still in high school, Joe was playing club dates, parties, and concerts with his own band and freelancing around the city, sometimes sporting a drawn-on mustache to look old enough to enter the night clubs! Landing a 10-week house gig in the famed Catskill Mountains, where he played Top 40 music and began writing and recording original songs, sparked young Joe's desire to become a professional musician. His first 'big gig' after school was a road date with Little Anthony and the Imperials.
Since relocating to the West Coast in the late-seventies, Joe Iaquinto has dabbled in acting ("What's Happening!"), and performed and recorded with a roster of incredible artists and bands, including: EARL SLICK (DAVID BOWIE), RITA COOLIDGE, STEPHEN BISHOP, BILLY PRESTON, JEFF "SKUNK" BAXTER (DOOBIE BROS., STEELY DAN), PATRICK SIMMONS (DOOBIE BROS.), DAVEY JOHNSTONE (ELTON JOHN), KEN STACEY (ELTON JOHN, MICHAEL JACKSON), BRANSCOMBE RICHMOND (RENEGADE), WAYNE NEWTON, BOBBY KIMBALL (TOTO), PETER CETERA (CHICAGO), DANNY SERAPHINE (CHICAGO), KENNY CETERA (CHICAGO, KCCE), BILL CHAMPLIN (CHICAGO, SONS OF CHAMPLIN), THE EMOTIONS ("The Best of My Love") ...and many more.
Joe Iaquinto is also a member of the POSTIVE LISTENING RADIO team, having composed and performed the station's jingle, and along with PATTY MOLLOY, KENNY CETERA, and comedian ALAN KAYE, hosts the acclaimed DEEP DISH program.
