Nickardo Salmon, also known as Kardo is the bass guitar player and one of the vocalist in the Nostaljah Band. Kardo, born and raised in Mandeville, Jamaica, started playing bass in high school where he joined a reggae gospel band called the Gospel Proclaimers which played out several times per month. Balancing music and school was an important task and eventually he was able to balance the two. He was able to share the same stages with international reggae artists such as Morgan Heritage, kymani Marley, Fantan Mojah, KyEnie and more.
He later moved to Florida where he became more involved in performing with different bands in the Southwest Florida area. After 9 years of freelancing as a bass player, keyboard player and drummer, Kardo decided to launch his own band along with his wife. Within 6 months of their official launch, Nostaljah made a buzz in the SW Florida area as one of the top Reggae bands with Kardo on bass and vocals along with his wife. Kardo style of playing is influenced jazz, reggae, neo soul, pop, r&b and latin music.
